Job Description:

Integrated Management:

·       Management of Raw material quality control

·       Management of Finished product Quality control

·       Coordinate and conduct final product positive release

·       Co-ordinate management of supplier quality assurance system

·       Address Quality requirements and hazards in a technical context

·       Monitor compliance of Quality agreements with stakeholders

·       Monitor Quality requirements and standards

·       Monitor compliance of Quality and Food Safety policies to business strategic plans and objectives

·       Coordinate the Emergency Action Plan and Food defense Plan with regards to Quality & Food Safety

·       Ensure compliance to all Quality and Food Safety related legislation

Quality Control / Laboratory Management:

·  Coordinate Quality Control systems process and other aspects of the Laboratory contract and processes

·  Monitor and review analytical results and ensure that non-conformances are actioned

·  Coordinate and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs

FSSC 22 000 & ISO 9001

·       Coordinate the FSSC 22 000 and ISO 9001 program management to ensure compliance to local and international Standards

·       Coordinate and ensure compliance to:

o   Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Prerequisite Programmes (PRP)

o   Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles

o   Food Fraud programmes

o   Food Defense programmes

o   Risk Management programme

·       Coordinate the Product Recall process

·       Coordinate the Quality Corrective Action and Customer Complaints processes

Audits:

·       Maintain an auditing program and coordinate compliance audits of third-party suppliers, manufacturers and distributors

·       Coordinate the FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, RSPO and SMETA and Customer External Audits

·       Coordinate and conduct Supplier Audits

·       Coordinate and conduct Internal Audits:

o   GMP

o   CCP

o   Key Business Process

o   Laboratory

o   Third Parties

·       Coordinate, conduct, report and follow up on Internal Audits:

·       Close out Integrated Management system findings and ensure close-out of all other Audit findings

Training:

·       Determine Integrated Management system training requirements

·       Facilitate the Quality & Food safety training programmes

Quality Reporting:

·    Compile Quality Statistics and Reports

Qualification: National Diploma in Food Technology/ Analytical Chemistry

Experience: 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in a related role within the food manufacturing environment
