About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a QA Senior Software Engineer to serve as a recognized authority within the company. In this role, you will do more than just execute tests; you will be the visionary responsible for the integrity of our software releases and the architect of our testing environments. By solving unusually complex technical problems and managing the Release Management process for baseline IT infrastructure, you will ensure that the products we deliver to our government partners are reliable, innovative, and mission-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and execute sophisticated test scripts to certify system changes for production.
  • Produce expert-level test plan documents and comprehensive requirement specifications.
  • Develop and maintain test control databases, ensuring their integrity, currency, and security.
  • Perform complex solution testing to validate that all products meet strict business and mission requirements.
  • Distribute high-quality test data from control databases to the development staff to facilitate robust unit testing.
  • Develop, compile, document, and run automated test scripts and procedures to increase testing efficiency.
  • Lead regression testing efforts and manage the end-to-end tracking of defect status.
  • Provide overarching quality assurance testing for all systems to ensure the distribution of world-class products.
  • Manage the Release Management process for all changes to the baseline IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure all processes are strictly adhered to throughout the project lifecycle, documenting and updating workflows as needed.
  • Communicate formally with analysts and programmers regarding testing plans, identified problems, and results.
  • Identify and produce lists of defects for resolution in future application releases.
  • Drive process improvements and communicate changes to all relevant stakeholders to maintain high standards of excellence.
  • Required Experience/Clearance

  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience as a recognized authority in Quality Assurance for enterprise-scale software.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing automated test scripts and test control databases.
  • Extensive experience in Release Management and overseeing IT infrastructure baselines.
  • Ability to solve unusually complex technical problems with highly innovative solutions.
  • Strong background in documenting technical reports and process workflows.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (specific level to be determined by mission requirements).
  • Desired Experience

We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or LangChain-based testing for AI.
  • Proficiency in managing defect tracking and workflows using Jira.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
  • Familiarity with testing data-heavy applications involving Spark or DataBricks.
  • Previous experience working within a government contracting or federal environment.
  • Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) or Release Management (e.g., ITIL).

  • The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
