• Mechanical Design Engineer for the role of Software QA Specialist:

Quality Assurance Engineer will be playing role in ensuring high quality standards across multiple innovative and pivotal projects related to interaction of Creo with Windchill and other cloud-based Web Apps.

Your Impact

• Creo and Windchill, both being PTC flagship products, work together in a highly integrated manner. Owing to the rich spectrum of capabilities offered, we have a big customer base who use these products in a connected environment.
• QA Specialist will programmatically and manually simulate newly developed and existing end-user like scenarios/situations and confirm that the products are ready to be used by users from Design departments across the globe.
• Design engineers will receive necessary training to effectively carry out their new job responsibilities.

Your Team

• You will be part of quality assurance team which is responsible for testing and certification of Interaction of Creo with Windchill and other web based PDM systems.

Your Day-to-Day

What are some of the things this person will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis?

• Actively collaborate with developers, QA leads, team members, Product managers to shape the product releases and deliver product releases.

• Automate the test-cases using Playwright, Selenium and Creo trail file.

• Provide feedback to the team on product quality, call out risks/issues, make decisions in ambiguous situations and balance quality with timebound delivery.

• Work on certifying new product development, reviewing specifications, collaboration with Development, Product Management and other stakeholders, defining certification criteria and writing/execution of test-cases.

Required Skillset (3-5 bullet points)

What are the things that cannot be taught or learned within the first 6-12 months of starting their job?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Production or related field) with very good academic records (10th, 12th and Engineering).
• 2 to 4 years of industry experience in Software Quality assurance with sound knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies.
• Sound knowledge and hands on experience on at least one CAD software (Preferably Creo).
• Exposure to any industry leading PDM/PLM system would be added advantage.
• Experience in any object-oriented programming language would be an added advantage.
