As a QA Operations Manager, you will provide operational leadership within the Quality Assurance organization, helping ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, inspection readiness, and operational excellence. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of quality professionals while partnering across functions to drive continuous improvement, support manufacturing and validation activities, oversee investigations and corrective actions, and ensure the successful execution of critical quality objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced quality professional to strengthen leadership capabilities, influence site performance, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality medicines to patients.

Job Description

Shift: Sunday-Wednesday PM shift


Key Responsibilities

·    Coordinate daily activities and priorities across the assigned Quality Assurance Operations area.

·    Lead, coach, and develop team members while supporting engagement, career growth, and succession planning.

·    Oversee deviations, out-of-expectation results, complaints, and corrective and preventive actions.

·    Support transfer projects, validation studies, document approvals, and standard operating procedure updates.

·    Plan resources, capacity, workloads, and daily execution to meet operational and quality requirements.

·    Track quality metrics and drive operational excellence projects and process improvements.

·    Maintain training compliance, inspection readiness, and strong safety and quality cultures.


Essential Requirements

·    University degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, or an equivalent scientific or technological field.

·    At least five years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

·    Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, quality systems, audit management, and inspection readiness.

·    Experience leading investigations, corrective and preventive actions, change initiatives, and quality improvement projects.

·    Strong cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and project-management skills.


Desirable Requirements

·       Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, training, and team development.

·    Experience supporting transfer projects, validation studies, or operational excellence initiatives.

 

The salary for this position is expected to range between $98,700 and $183,300 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
