We are seeking an experienced, talented and dependable individual who shares our values to join our team as Purchasing Officer. This position plays an important role in ensuring that all the company’s orders are accurately processed in its operating system and on a timely basis.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• An associate degree in a business discipline

• At least three (3) years' experience working in purchasing, export, and shipping. Or

• A minimum of five (5) CXCs including English Language and a Numeric subject

• A qualification in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management

• At least five (5) years' experience working in purchasing, export, and shipping.

• Ability to travel overseas.

Skills and Other Attributes Required:

• Ability to act independently while performing required tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

• Cost Price Analysis and other data analysis skills.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Be conversant with procedures and requirements of government and shipping authorities.

• Ability to coordinate activities between different locations and work under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

Generate purchase orders for the replenishment of products based on established procedures.

• Negotiation with suppliers on pricing, terms and follow-up on shipment discrepancies.
• Track orders.
• Organize logistics for delivery and process necessary shipment documentation.
•  Monitor Stock Levels
•  Source new items and suppliers, facilitate the ordering of special-order items and prepare for trade shows.
