Overview & Responsibilities

The Purchaser is responsible for supporting the tactical procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.

This entry-level role focuses on managing purchase requisition (PR) lifecycles, ensuring timely order placement, maintaining accurate ERP data governance, and facilitating vendor communication to support factory production and operational continuity.

Working on-site at our KEZAD Abu Dhabi facility, you will interact with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Planning, Quality) to handle purchasing for simple-to-moderate mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components or subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily purchase requisition (PR) to purchase order (PO) workflows for mechanical, electrical, and fabricated parts per project Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Monitor PO confirmations, track supplier delivery schedules, and maintain high data accuracy in the ERP system.
• Support sourcing efforts for non-standard components and basic low-complexity engineering changes.

• Communicate proactively with suppliers to clarify order details, resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies, and track delivery dates to prevent production bottlenecks.
• Align procurement schedules with key project milestones; escalate material risks or lead-time delays to the Purchasing Agent.
• Assist in monitoring inventory optimization targets and supporting material flow into the facility.

• Partner with Production Planners and Engineers to interpret basic part specifications, ensure supplier capabilities, and review BOM accuracy.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Receiving teams to address non-conformances, quality holds, or delivery mismatches promptly.

• Maintain clean and comprehensive procurement documentation, including vendor quotes, order confirmations, material certificates, and compliance records.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal supply chain controls, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ethical vendor policies.

Qualifications & Background Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration (entry-level candidates with strong internships/co-ops are encouraged to apply; manufacturing/industrial experience is preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), material flow, and supplier logistics.
• Systems: Hands-on familiarity or training with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, proactive communication, and an eagerness to learn in a technical engineering environment.

Work Environment & Working Conditions

• Environment: Standard office environment with routine interaction with workshop and warehouse teams.
• Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required for supplier visits or training.
• Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed global organization with international stakeholders.

Base Location & Work Schedule

​This is a full time, on-site permanent position based out of our Repair Facility in KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi.
