About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
The Experience
Governments are deciding right now how they’ll use AI. As our Public Sector Account Executive, you’ll help shape those decisions.
You’ll own a quota-carrying territory and act as a trusted advisor to the agencies, departments and decision-makers who deliver services to Australians. You’ll be working with a company that has made public sector a strategic priority, and our leaders are already in the room with the Australian Government on live policy and legislation.
You won’t be doing it alone. You’ll lead a matrix team of specialists who are all invested in your success.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Run your territory: build territory and account plans that turn a defined customer base into a growing, predictable pipeline, and keep your pipeline accurate so it shows a clear strategy and account status.
- Win: prospect, qualify, negotiate and close, and meet or exceed your quota, connecting our products to what each agency needs to deliver.
- Lead the account team: guide a matrix team of Business Development Representatives, Cloud Sales Executives, Solution Engineers, Services Practice Managers, Marketing, Inside Sales Support and Customer Success, and build strategic alliances as part of an integrated account and territory plan.
- Be the government expert: stay ahead of regulatory change, government initiatives and procurement cycles, understand the real constraints your customers face, and communicate clearly with leaders, customers, partners and extended teams. Expect regular travel to customer sites.
You're Our Person If...
- Develop and execute territory and account plans for the Public Sector, co-developing detailed plans for larger accounts, and meet and exceed sales targets by prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Government technology landscape, including regulatory changes, government initiatives, and procurement cycles, and position our Public Sector Solutions Cloud to address the specific needs of Government Departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development Representatives, Cloud Sales Executives, Solution Engineers, Services Practice Managers, Marketing, Inside Sales Support, and Customer Success Professionals, and build and manage strategic partnerships and alliances as part of an integrated account and territory strategy.
- Cultivate and expand relationships with public sector customers by understanding their unique challenges, such as budget cycles and funding, procurement requirements, and evolving government policies, while staying ahead of competitive trends, maintaining accurate account data in CRM systems, communicating effectively with leadership, customers, and partners, and travelling as needed.

Posting Statement
Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. What does that mean exactly? It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination. Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal. Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. It also applies to recruiting, hiring, job assignment, compensation, promotion, benefits, training, assessment of job performance, discipline, termination, and everything in between. Recruiting, hiring, and promotion decisions at Salesforce are fair and based on merit. The same goes for compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, reduction in workforce, recall, training, and education.
