We are seeking an Innovation Policy Manager to help bring emerging technologies to life for policy audiences. This role will design and execute experiences, demonstrations, events, partnerships, and policy initiatives that showcase the value and real world impact of AI, wearables, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies.

The Innovation Policy Manager will work closely with internal teams across Policy, Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships while also engaging policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, nonprofit organizations, AI developers, and other influential stakeholders.

A major focus of the role will be creating hands on experiences that allow policy audiences to interact directly with new technologies, including product demonstrations involving AI solutions, smart glasses, wearables, VR, and other products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead hands on technology demonstrations for policy audiences involving AI solutions, wearables, VR, and other emerging technologies.
  • Design, develop, and execute innovation focused policy experiences and events that educate and engage policy stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns highlighting the economic and social value of AI innovation.
  • Engage policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion leaders, nonprofit organizations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Build partnerships and coalitions with organizations that can help advance innovation policy objectives.
  • Partner across Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, Partnerships, and global Policy teams.
  • Develop and manage policy programs and campaigns supporting emerging technologies and new AI products.
  • Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns while contributing to larger strategic initiatives.
  • Lead cross functional initiatives involving both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a credible advocate for AI innovation and communicate complex technology and policy topics to diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in policy, legal, or a related field with a focus on AI technology or other emerging technologies.
  • Experience working with senior level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of technology policy and the considerations surrounding emerging technologies.
  • Ability to manage programs, campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship building, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI technologies, wearables, virtual reality, or open source innovation.
  • Understanding of policy areas such as privacy, security, integrity, competition, and emerging technology.
  • Experience engaging policymakers and other public policy stakeholders.
  • Experience developing or executing policy programs, advocacy initiatives, or campaigns.
  • Government or public affairs experience.
  • Genuine interest in technology policy and the future of AI innovation.

What Makes This Role Compelling

This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who wants to work where technology, AI innovation, public policy, and stakeholder engagement intersect. Rather than focusing solely on traditional policy work, this person will help policymakers and other influential audiences experience emerging technology firsthand.

The role offers exposure to some of the most advanced developments in AI, wearables, and VR while giving the individual an opportunity to shape how those technologies are understood within the broader policy community.
