Position Summary

The PSM Engineering will ensure properly evaluation of site process safety risks and prioritize actions to risk mitigation according to risk evaluation.

Ensure process safety procedures accomplishment to new projects or modification on existing process.

Support on spread process safety culture and keep engagement of departments in PSM subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Risk analysis in new projects or existing process when revalidation is needed.
  • Properly assign projects to CAPEX Plan to ensure risk reduction to the site, risk prioritization.
  • Support on project evaluation and review when process safety is included on scope.
  • Report, investigate and ensure action plan implementation to all process safety events in the site, following report procedures and timing.
  • Ensure that site basis of safety is well maintained.
  • Ensure properly training on process safety to the site.
  • Responsible to lead internal and external audits related to PSM.
  • Carry out the work in accordance with internally approved policies, procedures, work instructions, respecting and applying the GMP requirements and also the health, safety, environment and sustainability standards adopted by the company.
  • Responsibility and autonomy to report issues related to GMP to the managing director and the quality department.

  • Carry out responsibilities/duties according to food safety, legal and quality requirements to ensure our products are fit for human consumption.

Environment

  • Comply with all environmental standards, procedures, and work instructions always. 
  • Report any environmental violations or near misses to prevent any impact upon the local environment, its inhabitants and Tate & Lyle.

Health & Safety 

  • Adhere to the safety policies, procedures, and site rules.
  • Fully participate in the safety program, including reporting any incidents or near misses and auditing.

Requirements and Skills

  • University Degree or high in Chemical, Food, Electrical & Automation and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certificate on Process Risk Analysis. PHA Pro Software knowledge can be a differential.
  • Expertise on Safety Process Engineering
  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as engineer, including minimum of 5 years’ experience as Process Safety Engineer.
