About this Prototype Technician role at Freudenberg Group

Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble prototype products, tools, fixtures, and test samples according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Operate and maintain prototype fabrication equipment, hand tools, and testing instruments.
- Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
- Record test results, observations, and technical data accurately.
- Assist engineers in evaluating prototype performance and identifying design improvements.
- Modify prototypes based on engineering feedback and design changes.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical assembly processes.
- Experience using precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of prototype fabrication methods, including machining, 3D printing, and fixture building, is preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and product development processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CAD software and data collection systems is a plus.
