In this role, you will lead Quality Assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of Major Projects, providing oversight and guidance through desktop reviews, field assessments, and collaboration with project stakeholders. You will help ensure regulatory and standards compliance, mitigate quality risks, strengthen project performance, and advance continuous improvement across engineering and construction activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure project execution complies with applicable regulatory codes, Enbridge standards, specifications, and Quality Management Plan requirements.

  • Engage project teams early to identify and mitigate quality risks, develop project quality plans, and coordinate Quality Assurance resources and assignments.

  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Operations, Supply Chain, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to provide technical quality guidance and report on performance.

  • Investigate and manage quality nonconformances, lead root-cause analyses, and verify that corrective and preventive actions effectively address identified issues.

  • Review engineering packages, procurement documentation, Inspection Test Plans, contractor quality plans, Quality Control reports, and Issued for Construction deliverables.

  • Conduct project-site assessments, support construction inspection teams and regulatory inspections, report findings, and drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management program.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, quality management, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • 6+ years of experience in oil and gas industrial construction, quality inspection, quality assessment, engineering, construction, or quality management. For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (9+ years total).

  • Strong knowledge of applicable oil and gas regulatory codes, including Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) requirements.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership, and change-management skills, with the ability to guide teams and ensure work is completed effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage changing priorities, apply sound judgment, and provide practical solutions to complex quality issues.

  • Either hold or are working toward a relevant welding, coating, or nondestructive examination certifications such as NACE/CIP, CWI, or API, will be considered a asset.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Office / field environment. Regular travel to project sites across the United States. Travel (~25-50%) may vary significantly depending on project phase, construction activity, quality risks, and inspection requirements.

  • Occasional after-hours support may be required to address critical project quality issues and provide guidance to project teams.

  • The role requires flexibility to respond to changing project priorities, including short-notice inspections, quality incidents, scope changes, and evolving project schedules.

 

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting of objects up to 20 pounds, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirements including the ability to see screens, detect color coding and read fine print, hearing requirements, and the ability to sit at a computer for extended periods. You must be able to travel and safely maneuver within active construction sites, including walking on variable grades and using ladders to access ditches.

Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate to explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas using understandable terminology; organize and prioritize short-term work schedules; make decisions that have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impacts outside this area; understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms; compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports; and communicate with individuals by telephone.

 

Salary:

  • Ranges from $96,500 – 135,000 USD for U.S. locations, based upon the candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
