YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As a Project Executive in our EPC division, you will be the most senior level member of the project management team. The PX is an expert in project management who is responsible for providing leadership and oversight on large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction projects. The Project Executive has the overall responsibility for maintaining budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects. The role requires advanced expertise in complex projects of significant scope and the primary responsibility to oversee all aspects and scopes under their portfolio which may include large BESS, substation, wind, DG, or utility scale solar projects. The position proactively develops new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers in conjunction with Business Development and the Division Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

  • All-encompassing knowledge and management of all scopes required for renewable EPC construction: civil, fence, environmental, SWPPP, SPCC, mechanical, structural, substation, medium voltage collections, DC collections, BESS, SCADA, etc.

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple EPC projects across various industries and sectors.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the company, clients, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of project goals and objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering collaboration, trust, and mutual success.

  • Partner with Business Development leaders to prepare and provide preconstruction deliverables.

  • Oversee project management teams (APM to Sr. PM), providing guidance, mentorship, coaching, and

  • Develop and implement project management processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability across all project phases.

  • Using established company processes and procedures, monitor project performance, financial metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize project outcomes and profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and integrity.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including divisional leadership, operations, finance, engineering, environmental, safety, HR, and other functional departments to align project execution with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support operational excellence and the company's growth and competitiveness.

  • Conduct a comprehensive review with project management team of project constraints, including but not limited to LOD, ESA Phase 1, Buildable area, Hydrology Studies. Etc.

  • Conduct a comprehensive review with project management team of all predesign required reports and studies (PVSyst, geotech, hydro, surveys, pile push/pull testing, thermo-resistivity studies, etc)

  • Conduct a comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the entire design process from inception to IFC’s, including identifying VE options for all scopes, by coordinating with design partners and owner’s specs and comments

  • Conduct a comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the substation design, procurement and build based on SGIA requirements

  • Conduct a comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the identification of Private and Public Utility locations in and around the project location. Ensure proper filing or negotiating of the appropriate crossing agreements.

  • Resource Management project supervision in coordination with Area and Site Superintendents, too ensure proper allocation of resources and project pipeline management.

  • Comprehension of the geotechnical report and its impact on civil and structural designs

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the civil design and civil construction processes, and sequencing of civil activities such as, Grading, site balancing, trenching, pads, roadways, stormwater management

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the structural design, materials and construction sequencing (wind loads, snow loads, pile types, tracker systems, module types, concrete pads, design loads, etc)

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the electrical design, materials, and construction sequencing. HV, MV, LV, AC/DC power, voltage drops

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the SCADA, metering, utility requirements, ROC, and control buildings, NERC/FERC requirements and coordination

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the security fence materials and construction in compliance with local, state, and federal AHJ’s (NERC/FERC)

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the O&M buildings design and construction. Plumbing/HVAC/foundation and Structure, etc

  • Conduct comprehensive review with, and provide coaching as needed, to the project management team for the initial project budgets, buyouts, Cost at Completions, and all budgetary matters with regards to project health and present regular progress reports, forecasts, and other project documentation to senior management and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management or a related role, preferably within the EPC industry.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Suite).

  • Business development/heavy client interaction a plus

  • Proven experience mentoring and managing others

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging work environment.

TRAVEL:

  • Up to 100%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Pay Range

$170,400.00-$223,700.00 Annual

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
