Job Summary

The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for preparing and maintaining installation drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), Purchase Requisitions (PR), and project documentation to support the execution and delivery of Gas Chromatograph (GC) systems.

The role works closely with Engineering Managers, Project Engineers, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Assembly teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule. In addition to documentation and drafting activities, the role requires physical verification of GC systems to ensure documentation accuracy and shipment readiness.

 

Key Responsibilities

Drawing Preparation & Revision

  • Prepare and update installation drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Revise drawings based on inputs provided by the GC Manager, Engineering Manager, and project team.
  • Maintain drawing revisions and ensure documentation is updated according to project requirements.
  • Organize and maintain engineering drawing records and files.
  • Ensure drawing deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

 

BOM & Procurement Support

  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects.
  • Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR) and support material procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and project stakeholders regarding material requirements and updates.
  • Maintain accurate material records and support project material tracking.
  • Assist in resolving BOM and material-related discrepancies.

 

Documentation Management & Delivery Verification

  • Prepare final documentation packages for customer deliveries.
  • Compile drawings, manuals, certificates, inspection records, and project documentation.
  • Perform physical verification of GC systems to ensure documentation accurately reflects the delivered configuration.
  • Conduct documentation and delivery package checks using established checklists prior to shipment.
  • Verify equipment nameplates, tags, installed components, certificates, and project records against project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Assembly, Testing, and Engineering teams to resolve discrepancies identified during documentation review and physical verification.
  • Ensure documentation packages are complete, accurate, and submitted according to project schedules.
  • Maintain document control and engineering records in accordance with company procedures.

 

Project Support

  • Coordinate and track engineering deliverables to support project execution.
  • Monitor drawing, documentation, and material status throughout project lifecycle.
  • Support final project inspections and shipment readiness reviews.
  • Perform shop floor verification activities to ensure GC systems comply with project requirements, documentation, and delivery checklists.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve outstanding issues prior to shipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering documentation, drawing management, and project execution processes.

 

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Design & Drafting, or equivalent.

Experience

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in drafting, documentation, project coordination, manufacturing support, or engineering support functions is an advantage.

 

Technical Skills

Required

  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and documentation.

Preferred

  • Experience preparing Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Experience using ERP systems and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with document control practices.
  • Exposure to industrial instrumentation, analyzer systems, or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
