This position reports to:
Maintenance Manager__
Responsibilities
- Programming and optimizing motion trajectories for welding robots.
- Selecting and configuring process parameters.
- Monitoring the quality of robot-welded joints and eliminating welding defects.
- Programming, configuring, and commissioning ABB industrial robots.
- Integrating software with end-effectors (grippers, welding heads) and working with ABB RobotStudio.
- Configuring industrial communication networks, including PROFINET / PROFIsafe.
- Diagnosing errors in robots and controllers.
- Performing backups, restoring system configurations, and modifying system settings.
- Providing support in troubleshooting issues on operational production workstations.
- Collaborating with the Production, Quality, Health and Safety, and Maintenance departments.
Requirements
- A university degree in Engineering, preferably in Automation and Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of ABB robot programming.
- Experience integrating robots with Siemens PLC control systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, e.g. PROFINET and PROFIsafe.
- Professional experience in a similar position.
- Analytical thinking, creativity, good communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage one's own workload.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of technical drawings.
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge of welding processes (an International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT) qualification is an advantage).
- Knowledge of welding standards (e.g. EN ISO 5817 – quality levels for imperfections in fusion-welded joints).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Autodesk Inventor 3D, and SolidWorks.
- English language skills at a communicative level.
- Category B driving licence.
- Experience working with ABB IRC5 / OmniCore controllers.
