About this Production Welder role at Crystal Group
Position Summary:
The Production Welder will work both independently and within team environments to support daily manufacturing schedules and production goals. This position ensures that quality, cost, delivery, and safety standards are consistently met.
The Production Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welds in all positions and must have advanced knowledge of welding equipment, jigs, fixtures, and welding processes (MIG and TIG). This role also serves as a mentor to other welders and is expected to lead by example in safety and craftsmanship.
The Production Welder collaborates with other manufacturing departments to support growth and product innovation, and understands the assembly line schedules for appropriate models being produced.
Position Duties:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding at a high level of craftsmanship.
- Weld in all positions with advanced knowledge of rods, currents, machines, jigs, and fixtures.
- Maintain safe work practices and produce high-quality welds.
- Train and mentor other welders to ensure consistent performance and safety.
- Complete required quality and safety checks, procedures, and documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment as directed.
- Construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, and finished products.
- Set up and adjust spot welder as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, regulations, and safety practices.
- Understand and follow the production schedule. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Welding Technician Diploma preferred.
- Associate degree in a technical field highly desirable.
- Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects/controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Must occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment:
- Noise level is moderate to heavy (above 85 dB).
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Must pass background check, physical, drug, and alcohol screenings.
