Job Description:

This position is responsible for learning all elements of the daily production and work activity of the soft line team. This position will eventually oversee safety, quality, and production while utilizing systems and metrics to make strategic decisions. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Learn & Apply Employee Coaching: Shadow leadership to train, support, and develop Soft Line employees to maximize team performance.

  • Practice Task Assignment: Work alongside the supervisor to assign daily work duties and communicate performance expectations clearly to team members.

  • Maintain Operational Records: Build proficiency in tracking employee performance, attendance, vacation schedules, and working hours.

  • Deliver Constructive Feedback: Gain hands-on experience administering performance reviews and ongoing feedback under management guidance.

  • Facilitate Shift Transitions: Practice leading shift hand-off meetings and completing detailed shift documentation.

  • Understand Policy Enforcement: Partner with the Soft Line Production Manager to learn proper protocols for evaluating and addressing employee policy violations.

  • Support Continuous Improvement: Practice project management by helping lead line improvement initiatives identified by management.

  • Maintain Line Efficiency: Assist in covering team breaks and step in to perform general Soft Line production duties whenever operational needs arise.

  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Learn to maintain accurate production line inventory for raw materials and finished goods.

  • Master Core Software Systems: Gain and retain operational proficiency in Oracle, MaintainX, and other company computer systems.

  • Enforce Safety & SOP Compliance: Execute all tasks safely per Soft Line SOPs, including proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and safe chemical handling.

  • Complete Required Training: Active participation in Cambria-provided First Aid/CPR/AED training.

  • Maintain Area Standards: Keep work areas clean, safe, and orderly, and complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation 

  • Ability to become certified in Lockout Tagout 

  • Ability to become certified in Chemical Handling 

  • Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation 

  • Basic computer skills 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing field 

  • 3-5+ years of proven leadership ability 

  • Experience with Oracle, Tableau and other metric based software 

  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills 

  • Basic math skills 

  • Mechanically inclined 

  • Industrial work experience 

Minimum Requirements: 

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience: 3-5+ years experience in manufacturing 

Systems: Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements: 

  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings

  • Lift up to 60 lbs. 

  • Push/pull 100 lbs. 

  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks 

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria

  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises 

  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions 

  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift 

  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift 

Task Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements (Provided by Cambria): 

  • Steel toed boots 

  • Hearing Protection 

  • Safety glasses 

  • Cut-proof gloves 

  • Latex gloves 

  • Face shield 

  • High visibility vest 

  • Respirator 

  • *Employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin. 

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $27.00 - $36.75. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods. 

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
