Overview
The Production Operator is a highly skilled role responsible for supporting product demand while meeting production quality, yield, and cost-control goals. This position operates production equipment and performs all required duties within the production area. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment and can work effectively with others to meet shared objectives and demanding production schedules.
This is a part-time weekend position with a regular schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work the full scheduled shift on both days.
Start Date: This position is expected to begin the weekend of January 9–10, 2027.
Reports to Production Supervisor of Manufacturing – Consumables.
Responsibilities
• Follow the daily production schedule.
• Ensure materials are stocked and ready before production begins.
• Verify that equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, including balances/scales, the Mediaclave, and other production equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, the cleanroom, and work areas before and after production.
• Weigh and measure materials accurately.
• Record lot numbers, serial numbers, calibration information, and pre-fill QC results (pH, temperature, water resistivity, TOC).
• Complete batch records accurately and in full.
• Support equipment qualification testing (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Update and post production status information.
• Print and verify product labels as needed.
• Follow cGMP, ISO, and company quality procedures.
Required
High school diploma with 2 years of related experience, or an Associate’s degree.
At least 1 year of cleanroom experience; full cleanroom gowning (smock, boots, and mask) is required.
Strong aseptic technique and laboratory skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Must be willing and able to successfully complete company-provided cleanroom certification. All Weekend Production Operators are required to become cleanroom certified.
Preferred
Experience with automated manufacturing processes.
Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and automated equipment.
Technical Skills
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, navigating software systems).
Basic Excel skills (data entry, simple formulas, updating trackers).
Experience using laboratory equipment such as balances, pipettes, and pH meters.
Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Familiarity with cGMP and ISO requirements.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
