Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and implementing a pricing and profitability strategy for one or more product(s). Key responsibilities include developing, sponsoring and influencing pricing strategies and tactics across functional groups and within a product team, including maintaining a close partnership with aligned Product Managers. Job expectations include generating innovative ideas to support competitive pricing of a product and applying extensive technical or functional knowledge of pricing strategies and models.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive and competitive pricing and profitability strategies through integrated effort with Product teams, sales, marketing and operations
  • Leverages extensive knowledge of pricing models, competitive landscape, market performance and product functionality to inform pricing and profitability strategies
  • Identifies innovative enhancement opportunities for pricing structure to support continued growth of products and client engagement
  • Analyzes and distills large quantity of data to help inform strategic direction or decision
  • Communicates pricing strategy and impacts to financials, profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins
  • Engages with relevant partners and stakeholders to address questions about pricing strategy
  • Oversees the effective remediation of pricing errors or issues
  • Analyze complaints, controls, and operational performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, communicating key insights to senior leadership.
  • Maintain and enhance tracking and reporting for strategic initiatives, controls, and business performance measures.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to develop and execute competitive pricing and profitability strategies.
  • Build and apply expertise in pricing, products, market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive trends to support strategic business decisions.
  • Analyze and synthesize large, complex datasets using tools such as SQL and Excel to uncover actionable insights and influence pricing strategies and business outcomes.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations by evaluating pricing performance, conducting scenario analyses, and assessing the financial implications of proposed changes.
  • Communicate pricing strategies, recommendations, and business rationale to stakeholders, clearly articulating impacts to revenue, profitability, margins, and overall financial performance.
  • Monitor emerging trends and market developments, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize pricing, improve performance, and support business objectives.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity by exploring data, asking thoughtful questions, challenging assumptions, and developing a deep understanding of the business, customers, and market dynamics.



Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive technical and/or functional knowledge of pricing strategies and models; pricing/profitability requests managed are generally more complex than those managed by less senior level pricing managers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute pricing, profitability, revenue growth, or other quantitative business strategies in complex environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience designing and conducting data analyses to identify trends, generate insights, and support decision-making.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and proactively escalate risks or concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and present effectively to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret market, customer, product, and financial performance trends to inform business strategies.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative partnerships, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability across teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in analytical modeling, optimization, forecasting, or quantitative decision-making.
  • Experience supporting pricing, profitability, revenue management, product strategy, or similar business functions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience leveraging data visualization and reporting tools to communicate insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in data and business analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$107,200.00 - $161,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
