 In the Global Business Unit (GBU) of Displays and Docking Solutions, this pivotal role serves as a subject matter expert, executing strategies to drive business growth. It involves integrating product management process knowledge, business acumen, and supply and demand expertise into actionable plans for new workspace solutions and sustaining products. This role requires a blend of problem-solving skills and strategic planning to ensure the successful execution of business objectives.

Role Overview

The Software Product Owner for Displays and Docking resides in Product Management and transforms end‑to‑end user journeys into clear, executable plans that ship intuitive, scalable workspace software solutions across HP’s Displays & Docking portfolio. This role integrates customer insights, business strategy, and technical leadership to deliver software that elevates productivity, creativity, and connected experiences for knowledge workers, creatives, gamers, and hybrid professionals.

Key Responsibilities

              • Act as a subject-matter expert, executing the manageability business strategy for Displays & Docking through software.

              • Transform customer workflows and pain points into clear, prioritized plans and requirements that drive development.

              • Convert customer needs and workflows into prioritized, actionable backlogs.

              • Collaborate across engineering, UX/UI, design, marketing, sales, and operations, leading without formal authority.

              • Deliver user‑centric workspace solutions with measurable business value.

              • Apply market research, telemetry, and feedback to guide product decisions.

              • Lead the full software product lifecycle, from concept through launch and sustainment.

              • Structure backlog items to address workflow friction, manageability challenges, and productivity goals.

              • Execute the Displays & Docking manageability strategy as a cross‑functional technical leader.

              • Use analytics to monitor performance and drive continuous, data‑informed improvement.

             

Qualifications

              • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

              • 7+ years in software product management or product ownership.

              • Proven success launching customer‑facing software products from concept to market.

              • Experience with agile development and global cross‑functional teams.

              • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Demonstrate ownership, resilience, curiosity, and continuous learning.

• Experience in the following tools: Agile, Scrum, Kanban • JIRA • Product analytics • Automation •Lean principles • Data‑driven decision‑making

The pay range for this role is  $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
