As Product Lead, Home Buying Verification Capability, you’ll own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of new capabilities that improve the verification experience during the home lending journey. Your focus will be reducing turnaround times and creating a more seamless Home Buying journey through straight-through processing, trusted data sources and innovative verification techniques.

You’ll lead the development and evolution of new verification capabilities, including agentic AI verification and open banking. Working across origination channels, you’ll identify opportunities to improve the experience for customers and colleagues while maintaining strong risk, regulatory and operational outcomes.

This is an opportunity to lead new product development in an emerging and strategically important area. You’ll bring strong product leadership and commercial judgement, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complex problems and take new ideas from early discovery through to scaled delivery.

Within Home Buying’s Apply with Ease Crew, the Trusted Verification & Customer Growth team is focused on making the home loan verification experience safer and faster.

The Verification Capability squad uses trusted data, automation and emerging technologies to enable faster and more reliable verification outcomes. Working across Data Science, Technology, Design, Operations, Risk, Policy and Channels, the squad is helping create a verification experience that reduces unnecessary customer effort and enables eligible applications to progress more quickly.

In This Role, You Will:

• Own and evolve the vision, strategy and roadmap for Home Buying Verification Capability.
• Lead the development of new verification capabilities, including (but not limited to) agentic AI verification, open banking and trusted data sources.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities to increase straight-through processing and reduce home loan turnaround times.
• Lead new product development from discovery and validation through to implementation, adoption and optimisation.
• Translate customer, business, technical and regulatory needs into clear product outcomes and delivery intent.
• Apply strong commercial acumen and sound judgement when balancing customer value, delivery complexity, risk and investment.
• Prepare high-quality papers, recommendations and presentations for executive and governance audiences.
• Engage with origination channels, frontline teams and customer insights to understand pain points, validate opportunities and support successful implementation.
• Partner across Data Science, Technology, Design, Operations, Risk, Policy and Channels to align stakeholders and deliver outcomes.
• Embed appropriate governance, controls and risk management throughout product discovery and delivery.

We’re looking for an established Product Lead with strong business and commercial acumen, sound risk judgement and experience developing new products or capabilities. You’ll be comfortable working in ambiguous and emerging areas, bringing structure to complex problems and influencing stakeholders across different parts of the organisation.

You’ll Bring:

• Proven product leadership across strategy, discovery, roadmap ownership, prioritisation, delivery and lifecycle management.
• Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess opportunities and make considered product trade-offs.
• A passion for developing and launching new products, capabilities or customer experiences.
• The ability to create clear, concise and compelling papers and presentations for executive and governance audiences.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
• A strong risk lens, with experience balancing innovation and customer outcomes with regulatory, operational and technology requirements.
• The ability to lead effectively through ambiguity and shape opportunities involving new or emerging technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior leaders, cross-functional teams, origination channels and frontline colleagues.
• A customer-focused and evidence-based approach to product development and decision-making.
• Experience developing AI-enabled products is welcomed, but not essential.
