About the Role

Reveal is hiring a Senior Product Designer to drive UX and UI across Reveal products. Day to day, you'll work alongside product management and engineering to define, design and build product solutions, while drawing on and contributing to a unified design system used across products.

This role runs with a high degree of autonomy: moving quickly with limited research, and learning the domain deeply. We're looking for someone who's comfortable being the only designer in the room, thrives on ambiguity, and wants to build software that matters for the warfighter and the operators who support the mission.

Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end UX and UI of Reveal products, across both desktop and mobile, from problem framing through build-ready design.

Partner daily with product management and engineering as co-owners of the experience.

Present design rationale and tradeoffs to product, engineering, and leadership, bringing partners along rather than handing off.

Drive and understand the design “north star” while ensuring we make rapid progress and deliver meaningful results along the way.

Build deep domain fluency through sharp questions, independent research, and direct exposure to users, including occasional travel.

Use shared components and tokens from Reveal's design system where they fit, and contribute new ones back alongside other teams.

Requirements

7+ years in product design

5+ years in Figma

Expert-level Figma with a systemized approach. You think in reusable components and tokens, not one-off screens. Fluency with Auto Layout, components, variants, and styles is non-negotiable.

A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of shipped product work, not just polished screens.

High comfort with ambiguity and autonomy. You'll be the only designer embedded in your unit and must be able to drive work without design backup.

A bias toward speed and a fail-fast mindset, with the judgment to know when a decision warrants more rigor.

Strong written and verbal communication, able to make and defend decisions clearly in a remote, async team.

Comfort using AI tools in your daily workflow.

Nice to Haves

Startup experience, ideally where design was early or still being established.

Experience standing up or contributing to a shared design system.

Experience designing complex B2B, enterprise, or operational software rather than consumer apps.

Experience with data-dense interfaces, mapping/GIS, or command-and-control-style tooling.

Experience designing native mobile apps.

Working knowledge of front-end concepts (HTML/CSS, Tailwind) and fluency collaborating with engineers on implementation.

Compensation

Salary ($140,000 - $180,000) + Equity

Salary is determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
