About the Role

As a Product Applications Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the evaluation, integration, and application of semiconductor products in real-world systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist with product testing, technical problem-solving, application development, and customer-focused engineering activities while building a strong foundation in applications engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in product evaluation, validation, and testing activities.
  • Support the development of application tools, demonstrations, and reference designs.
  • Help troubleshoot technical issues and analyze system performance.
  • Conduct laboratory measurements and analyze test data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Product, Test, and Marketing Engineering.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations.

Must Have Skills

  • Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret technical data.
  • Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience through coursework, projects, research, or internships involving electronics, embedded systems, or hardware/software development.
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces, system-level design, or product testing is a plus.
  • Interest in applications engineering, customer support, and semiconductor technologies.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $22 to $41.
