What you’ll do

  • Tactical Sourcing: Manage day-to-day sourcing requests including obtaining supplier quotations, conducting RFQs, and supporting immediate business needs, primarily focusing on direct materials such as spare parts, fabricated items, and machined components.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Execution: Support the development and execution of category strategies aligned with business objectives, including demand analysis, supplier evaluations, and sourcing plans to build local sourcing capabilities from the ground up.
  • Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimisation: Conduct supplier negotiations and cost analyses to deliver savings, improve value, and ensure supply continuity across assigned categories.
  • Contract Administration & Governance: Support contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Supplier Management & Performance: Manage supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with quality, safety, sustainability, and operational standards.
  • Market Intelligence & Risk Management: Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier risks, providing insights to support category planning and sourcing decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and value delivery.
  • Project & New Product Development Support: Collaborate with project teams and R&D to support sourcing activities and supplier readiness for new products and initiatives.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of hands-on procurement experience, particularly in direct-material sourcing and RFQ management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and SAP system proficiency.
  • Proven ability to work independently and adapt in an evolving environment with developing processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and supplier engagement skills.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in multinational organizations and building procurement capabilities from early stages.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Coupa procurement tools.
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering, or sourcing spare parts, fabricated or machined components.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, contract administration, and supplier risk assessment.
