We are currently looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join our team in Decherd, TN. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will work alongside highly skilled Nissan engineers helping to produce some of the highest-quality engines in the world. This internship provides hands-on experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment, offering opportunities to learn advanced engine production processes, develop project management skills, and lead meaningful projects that support operational excellence.
A Day in the Life:
- Learn and support highly automated engine manufacturing processes.
- Partner with engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Develop project management skills through involvement in engineering initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead a department project from planning through execution and present findings to department leadership.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, safety, productivity, and manufacturing performance.
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
- Students entering their Junior or Senior at the start of the upcoming academic term.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to expand your knowledge and technical capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)
- Ability to perform work onsite at Decherd, TN.
