Circularity Program Manager

This role sits within Print Sustainability, reporting to the Director/Head of Print Sustainability, and owns HP's circularity strategy across Core and Industrial print segments (hardware, supplies, and services). Circularity — and reuse in particular — is positioned as a key competitive differentiator for HP's print business and a critical lever in meeting any external commitments. The position requires championing cross-functional initiatives across Global Business Units, Regions, and partner organizations (including R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Government Affairs), and is well suited to someone entrepreneurial, sustainability-driven, and comfortable operating with high visibility across all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Ownership

• Own and drive Print's reuse strategy, partnering with divisions to explore the value proposition, size the opportunity, and translate it into product and service decisions
• Lead product/service portfolio for circularity targets (product revitalization, device life extension, recovery services, green care packs, recycled plastics/metals goals)
• Build the business case for circular materials and reuse models (environmental impact, cost, customer value, regulatory benefit)
• Define and harmonize circularity strategy across Print; own circularity metrics and roadmap

Regulatory & Market Access

• Lead Print's circularity regulatory strategy across engineering, legal, and government affairs to ensure readiness for evolving packaging, materials, and product reuse regulation
• Maintain a living roadmap of the regulatory and market access landscape as it affects Print
• Ensure GPC&SI delivers a bi-annual readout tailored to each division, translating landscape changes into what matters specifically for their portfolio and decisions

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Lead POR and choice-point discussions with Ink/Laser/Supplies PMT & BMT teams and Canon program teams (maintaining appropriate firewalls)
• Partner with the Carbon Program Manager on decarbonization and low-carbon materials adoption

Program Management

• Set requirements roadmaps, manage meeting cadences, drive decisions and action items
• Develop forecasts, processes, and tools; build the logistical, refurbishment, financial, and accounting structures that make reuse and circular offerings operational
• Translate sustainability strategy into business-unit goals and drive execution to the employee level
• Work with Print Sustainability COE in Singapore and CI lab to ensure a thorough understanding of key competitive products Circularity elements

Stakeholder & External Engagement

• Manage senior stakeholder relationships internally
• Engage NGOs, government, and regulatory bodies to advance the print sustainability agenda
• Build executive-level storylines and presentations for internal and external audiences

Innovation

• Drive customer-centered innovation in sustainable print offerings, services, and business models — including reuse-based models — that strengthen competitive differentiation

Education & Experience Required

• 10+ years related professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or related field (Master's in Business/Strategy a plus)
• Background in carbon footprint, circularity, reuse/product life extension, eco-governance, product development, and operational excellence
• Familiarity with sustainability regulation and market access requirements affecting hardware and packaging
• Ability to make crisp and effective exec presentations
• Proven cross-functional program/project management track record
• Strong analytical, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; systems thinker
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills; able to simplify complex ideas for leadership
• Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
• Printing industry/technology knowledge preferred

The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
