Overview

This position within AtkinsRéalis’ Middle East Design Team focuses on delivering innovative, sustainable, and technically robust solutions across all MEP disciplines, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Public Health Engineering. The role demands strong technical leadership, the ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert, and a growing reputation both internally and externally. Responsibilities include leading complex design packages, ensuring “Safe by Design” principles, driving digital transformation, and promoting quality and technical governance. The candidate will contribute to business strategy through research and innovation, mentor teams, and support knowledge management initiatives, while maintaining commercial awareness and client engagement. This is an opportunity to influence multidisciplinary projects, develop technical capability within the team, and progress toward senior technical authority roles.

Your role

• Takes a leadership role and trusted to make decisions, typically at group / team level or within a specific area of the business. Develops capabilities within their own team.

• High level of accountability. Drives the strategic direction of an aspect of the business to achieve desired business outcome.

• Known to the LPO senior team and their “first choice” for advice.

• Able to understand a client’s problem and bring the different capabilities of Atkins together, to develop a solution.

• Strong knowledge of the fundamental concepts, principles and theories of system integration as applied to multi-disciplinary designs.

• Strong understanding of principles of assurance and compliance as defined and applied within the relevant industry environment.

• Engages with internal and external stakeholders and negotiates successfully.

• Able to drive technical input to bids and provide clear USPs in technological field.

• Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels to adopt different points of view.
