Introduction:
This position is responsible for UMD process ownership, process performance, continuous improvement initiatives, technology deployment, and operational excellence within the UMD Diffusion module.
Your Job:
Develops, maintains, and improves UMD process formulations, methods, equipment integration, and process controls to achieve product quality, yield, reliability, cost, and manufacturing objectives. Typically performs one or more of the following in the capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently).
Create, analyze, and review technical data, process charts, and performance metrics for UMD-related manufacturing processes.
Develop and modify process formulations, methods, specifications, and controls to meet quality, yield, and reliability standards.
Establish and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Control Plans, and FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for UMD processes.
Review product and technology development requirements for compatibility with UMD processing capabilities, determining cost, capacity, and schedule impacts.
Integrate equipment, materials, and process capabilities to meet UMD module and technology specifications.
Lead process characterization, optimization, qualification, troubleshooting, and defect reduction activities.
Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to improve process performance indices, yield, cycle time, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
Support new technology introductions, process transfers, equipment installations, and manufacturing readiness activities within the UMD area.
Work with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Quality, Integration, Yield Engineering, Facilities, and R&D to achieve organizational goals.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and supporting team members as required.
Participate in and support other projects and assignments as required by business needs.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner while supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field
At least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process development, process integration, equipment qualification, yield improvement, and technology transfer.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional technical projects.
Familiarity with statistical software, SPC systems, and advanced data analytics tools.
