Principal Architect, Data & Analytics

The role of Principal Architect, Data & Analytics, will play a pivotal role in strategic data & analytics initiatives. This role will lead a team of technical leads and engineers focused on tools and technologies such as Azure Synapse, PowerBI, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and other related technologies. Responsibilities include developing and executing the organization's data & analytics strategy, managing related processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing advanced analytics techniques, deploying data visualization tools, staying updated on industry trends, and providing leadership to the data and analytics team to foster continuous learning and development. This role will provide thought leadership in data & analytics, Analytics cloud management, technology leadership, cloud governance, security, and self-service management. Also, providing guidance and mentorship to a group of data & analytics leads and engineers.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute the organization's Data & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where data-driven insights can improve decision-making, performance, and business outcomes.
  • Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data architectures, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions that support enterprise needs.
  • Oversee the selection, deployment, and governance of analytics technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance data accessibility and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards are maintained across all analytics processes, systems, and initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight of analytics programs and projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines while proactively managing risks and dependencies.
  • Establish robust project governance practices, including change management, scope control, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Influence and educate stakeholders on the value of data and analytics, translating complex insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners, including solution evaluation, contract negotiations, and successful implementation of third-party capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to strengthen organizational data maturity and business impact.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline; Master's degree (MBA, MIS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and enterprise analytics platforms, with a proven track record of delivering business value through data-driven solutions.
  • Strong expertise in modern data platforms and technologies, including Azure Synapse, Databricks, Apache Spark & PySpark and related cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers along with proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of metadata-driven ETL frameworks , dynamic pipeline development, and knowledge of Unity Catalog.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices, Git-based source control, and deployment automation.
  • Exposure to SAP data integration using SAP source system for enterprise scale data migration initiatives is preferred.
  • Analytics, Data Engineering, or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus; experience within a regulated industry such as Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Life Sciences is preferred.
