The Pricing Data Analyst , Remarketing is responsible for maximizing financial outcomes across Element’s U.S. and Canadian remarketing portfolio through advanced analytics, automation, and data science–driven pricing strategies for company-owned and third-party vehicles. This role owns the design, development, and continuous optimization of Python-based pricing models, machine-learning-enabled valuation methodologies, and SQL-based Fair Market Value (FMV) tools that directly influence conversion rates, pricing accuracy, and overall portfolio profitability.


Partner closely with remarketing leadership, operations, and analytics stakeholders to deliver scalable, automated pricing solutions, actionable insights, and data visualization that enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and financial performance for Element and our clients.

Pricing Model Development & Optimization  
Design, develop, maintain and continuously improve Python-based pricing and valuation models to establish accurate, market-driven floor prices for remarketed vehicles.  
Apply statistical techniques and machine learning where appropriate to improve pricing accuracy, predict outcomes, and enhance conversion and profitability. 


Fair Market Value (FMV) Tool Ownership  
Own, maintain, and enhance the SQL-based Fair Market Value (FMV) tool, ensuring data integrity, governance, and alignment with market dynamics.  
Continuously refine FMV methodologies using market intelligence, historical performance, and analytical insights 


Automation & Process Efficiency  
Identify and implement automation opportunities across pricing workflows, ad-hoc analysis, and recurring reporting to improve scalability and reduce manual effort.  

Partner with internal teams to execute pricing logic and analytical outputs where feasible. 


Performance Analysis, Reporting & Visualization  
Analyze vehicle sales performance, pricing variance, and gain/loss outcomes, identifying drivers of unexpected variability.  
Develop dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to communicate insights clearly to senior remarketing leaders. 


Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Support  
Collaborate daily with Auction Managers, Remarketing Analysts, and business leaders across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland to support pricing execution and operational decisions.  
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations. 


Scope & Impact

• Directly influences revenue, conversion rates, on sale across Element’s remarketing portfolio through pricing model accuracy and valuation discipline. 
• Owns analytical tools and pricing methodologies that inform material financial and operational decisions. 
• Improves scalability and efficiency of remarketing operations through automation, model optimization, and advanced analytics. 
• Enables consistent, data-driven pricing decisions across U.S. and Canadian operations, strengthening Element’s market competitiveness and client outcomes. 
• Serves as a trusted analytical and data science partner to remarketing leadership, supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement 


Required 
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Analytics, or a related quantitative field 
3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, pricing, or valuation-focused roles in a professional or corporate environment 
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation 
Strong SQL skills with experience managing and querying large datasets 
Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills 
Experience translating complex analytical outputs into business-facing insights 
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 


Preferred 
Experience applying machine learning techniques to pricing, valuation, or predictive modeling problems 
Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouses 
Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) 
Experience in automotive, fleet management, or remarketing environments
