Premier Private Client – Desk Head, Singapore

Role Description

OCBC Premier Private Client (PPC) is OCBC's dedicated wealth management platform for Asia-centric High Net Worth clients. Combining the strengths of OCBC Bank and Bank of Singapore, PPC delivers holistic wealth, banking, lending and legacy planning solutions through a highly personalized advisory approach.

As a Desk Head, Singapore, you will lead a team of Relationship Managers in driving client acquisition, deepening existing relationships, and delivering sustainable growth across Assets Under Management (AUM), revenue, and client engagement. You will play a critical role in developing talent, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the highest standards of client experience, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business, revenue, AUM and client acquisition targets.

  • Build a high-performance culture through effective mentoring, performance management, talent development and succession planning.

  • Drive growth in the PPC franchise through the acquisition of High-Net-Worth clients and the expansion of existing client relationships.

  • Develop and leverage internal and external referral networks to generate quality client acquisition opportunities.

  • Partner with product specialists and stakeholders across Wealth Management, Investment, Lending and Insurance to deliver holistic solutions to clients.

  • Lead client engagement and acquisition initiatives, including client events, networking activities and strategic business development opportunities.

  • Champion a superior client experience by ensuring consistent delivery of PPC's service standards and value proposition.

  • Drive adoption and execution of strategic business initiatives and support the implementation of new products, processes and capabilities.

  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance and conduct requirements, while promoting a strong risk and governance culture within the team.

  • Maintain effective oversight of operational, reputational and conduct risks, ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies, standards and controls.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services, with a strong track record in wealth management, private banking or high net worth client coverage.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing, coaching and developing high-performing sales teams.

  • Strong understanding of investment, banking, lending and wealth management solutions for affluent and high net worth clients.

  • Demonstrated success in driving AUM growth, client acquisition and revenue generation.

  • Experience in the Private Banking, Private Client or High Net Worth segments will be highly advantageous.

  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Sound business judgment, analytical skills and a strong client-centric mindset.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • University degree or equivalent professional qualifications

  • Possess the Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) certification. Candidates who do not currently possess the required certification must be willing to obtain it within the timeframe stipulated by the Bank.
