Production Scheduler II - Chiller Plant, Phulgaon, Pune

Johnson Controls is seeking a Production Scheduler II to support manufacturing operations at our Chiller Plant in Phulgaon, Pune. In this role, you will help ensure accurate scheduling, material coordination, and strong cross-functional collaboration across production, quality, engineering, supplier scheduling, and supply chain teams.

Role Overview

As a Production Scheduler II, you will create and maintain achievable production schedules, monitor schedule attainment, and support inventory and delivery targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is well suited to someone with 5-8 years of relevant experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing planning discipline with daily execution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Create weekly and daily production schedules from the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Track schedule attainment and support customer delivery targets, inventory accuracy, and Inventory DOH objectives.
• Partner with the Master Scheduler to maintain capacity requirements planning.
• Coordinate with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to support material availability and production readiness.
• Expedite material, set priorities, and address supply issues that could affect schedule performance.
• Coordinate outside processing inventory movement and related scheduling activities.
• Maintain replenishment signals and update planning data in the ERP system as needed.
• Support daily production needs through clear communication, issue resolution, and timely follow-up.
• Maintain productive working relationships across departments to support smooth operations.
• Contribute to cost awareness by helping support efficient planning and reduced disruptions.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in an appropriate field of study, or equivalent related experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in material management, production scheduling, or manufacturing planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, as well as Internet software and E-mail.
• Extended knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
• Normal mechanical and analytical ability.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working across multiple departments.
• Ability to stay organized, manage priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with inventory forecasting.
• Experience developing production schedules.
• Experience with capacity requirements planning.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
