About The Opportunity:

The Manager, Platform & Product leads the multidisciplinary teams responsible for designing, developing, delivering and sustaining digital solutions that help customers achieve measurable performance improvements from MineStar.

The team owns the Productivity Solutions product portfolio, using automation, digitisation and AI across analytics, reporting, simulation and related capabilities to extend MineStar and improve customer outcomes globally. The team does not own the core MineStar products.

This role leads product ownership, engineering, architecture, business analysis and user experience capabilities across internal teams and external delivery partners.

You will set product and platform direction, prioritise and build a product-led operating model with clear accountability for customer value, delivery and the full product lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Product & Platform team, establishing clear direction, priorities, decision rights and accountability.

  • Define and maintain product and platform strategies and roadmaps aligned with customer needs, MineStar capabilities and business objectives.

  • Own the Productivity Solutions product portfolio across discovery, investment, delivery, adoption, sustainment and retirement.

  • Prioritise investment and delivery by balancing customer value, strategic alignment, capacity, risk, technical health and long-term supportability.

  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, architecture, business analysis and user experience.

  • Lead external delivery partners, managing outcomes, quality, cost and risk.
  • Empower Product Owners and technical leaders to make timely decisions within clearly defined accountabilities and governance.

  • Partner with MineStar product and technology teams to ensure solutions complement and integrate with core MineStar capabilities while avoiding unnecessary duplication.

  • Manage cross-product dependencies, remove delivery barriers and escalate material risks and trade-offs.

  • Ensure solutions meet agreed standards for scalability, reliability, security, data integrity, deployment readiness and supportability.

  • Use customer insight, product data, field feedback and benefits evidence to guide priorities and continuous improvement.

  • Partner across Data Engineering & Reporting, Product Adoption & Support,

  • Content Development and other business and technology teams to deliver integrated customer outcomes.

  • Build team capability through workforce planning, development, performance management and succession planning.

How Success Will Be Measured:

  • Customer value: Priority products have agreed outcome measures and demonstrate verified customer or operational value against approved business cases.

  • Roadmap delivery: Portfolio commitments are delivered predictably against approved scope, milestones, budget and quality expectations, with material variances actively managed.

  • Product health: Products meet agreed reliability, security, performance, data quality and supportability expectations, with critical risks and technical debt reduced to plan.

  • Portfolio value: Investment is regularly directed toward the highest-value opportunities, with clear remediation, consolidation or retirement decisions for underperforming or duplicative products.

  • Stakeholder alignment: Product Owners, MineStar partners and dependent teams have clear priorities, decision rights and dependency plans, with unresolved issues escalated promptly.

  • Team capability: Critical roles are filled, succession and development plans are active, and team engagement, performance and retention remain within agreed targets.

What Skills Will You Bring?

  • Leadership & People Development: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing people, leaders and organisational capability.

  • Product & Portfolio Leadership: Experience translating customer needs into product priorities and roadmaps, with the ability to make effective portfolio investment and lifecycle trade-offs.

  • Customer & Performance Focus: Ability to connect product decisions to customer performance, operational outcomes and measurable business value.

  • Technology Leadership: Broad understanding of software, cloud, data, digital platforms and architecture, with the ability to lead effectively through technical specialists.

  • Change & Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience establishing product-led ways of working and aligning diverse teams around common priorities and outcomes.

  • Decision Making & Communication: Ability to make clear decisions, manage competing priorities and communicate direction, risks and trade-offs effectively.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required: Significant experience leading product, engineering, platform or digital technology teams in a complex enterprise environment.

  • Required: Demonstrated experience leading Product Owners, people leaders, technical specialists and external delivery partners.

  • Required: Experience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps and making product lifecycle decisions.

  • Required: Broad understanding of modern software, cloud, data, analytics, integration and architecture practices.

  • Required: Experience delivering products that integrate with or extend enterprise technology platforms across globally distributed teams.

  • Desirable: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mining, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Desirable: Experience establishing or maturing product-led and platform-based operating models.

  • Desirable: Mining, industrial technology, analytics or operational performance experience.

  • Highly desirable: MineStar or comparable mine-site technology experience.
