Team Overview and Job responsibilities 

Prysmian is looking for a Costs Specialist to support our finance team based in Heredia, Costa Rica. In this position you will be responsible for collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators; perform analysis of financial, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.

Job responsibilities:

• Comprehensive management of cost accounting

• Preparation and periodic review of budgets

• Monthly inventory valuation analysis and reporting (inventory closing process)

• Analysis of variable and fixed costs

• Practices and processes related to physical inventories

• Efficiency assessment of production processes

• Auditing of internal control procedures

• Development of manuals for internal standards, procedures, and job functions

• Coordination and liaison with external auditors

• Ensuring compliance with requirements, standards, policies, and procedures for TL 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 (integrated management system), as well as 6S, Lean, and Sigma SOS; monitoring and promoting their application and observance throughout the Company to align all activities with the organizational culture

Who are we looking for? 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience including experience in accounting.
  • Experience with large data sets and advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables.
  • Analytical skills and able to follow up on important data details.
  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior levels.
  • Positive leadership style.
  • Results oriented and self‐starter person.
  • Highly dynamic and oriented to operational work,
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Costing/inventory methods (average / FIFO / standard), commodity hedging, industrial controls (expenses / productive hours), physical inventory controls, SAP.

Preferred qualifications 

  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • SAP or Business Warehouse experience
  • Basic to advance English level
