The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, West Virginia, and will join a collegial, subspecialized academic pathology department serving a large and growing health system.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a robust academic practice with expanding clinical programs, active multidisciplinary collaboration, and strong institutional support for subspecialty pathology. The role is well suited for a pathologist seeking a clinically meaningful academic position with opportunities for teaching, program development, multidisciplinary engagement, and scholarly activity.

Duties: Responsibilities include diagnostic sign-out within a subspecialized practice model, with emphasis on liver transplant pathology and complementary service responsibilities in gastrointestinal/hepatobiliary pathology and/or transplant pathology. The faculty member will be expected to participate actively in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and to contribute to the academic mission of the department through teaching, clinical service, collaboration, and, where appropriate, research or other scholarly work.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of West Virginia. Candidates must have completed an accredited pathology residency program and fellowship training in gastrointestinal/hepatobiliary pathology, transplant pathology, or a closely related area relevant to liver transplant pathology. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
