The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Capital Health is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within a collaborative health system committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients throughout Central New Jersey and the surrounding region.
Position Highlights
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment plans.
Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric care for patients with a broad range of behavioral health conditions.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Coordinate behavioral health treatment with primary care and specialty providers when appropriate.
Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and continuity-of-care initiatives.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing behavioral health needs.
Support Capital Health’s commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
Open to Consultation Liaison duties on inpatient med/surg unit
Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
Eligible for appropriate prescribing credentials, including DEA registration.
