Job Description

Lead the visual production of Domain's editorial content across print, digital and social channels. Working closely with Editorial, Social, Video, Print and B2B teams, you'll commission and manage photography for Domain's portfolio of leading property publications, ensuring all visual content aligns with our brand and editorial standards. You'll oversee relationships with freelance photographers, manage production budgets, and deliver high-quality visual storytelling that engages audiences and supports commercial outcomes. This role requires a strong visual eye, exceptional production management skills, and a passion for creating compelling content experiences for property-focused audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage the logistics of photography shoots to a budget, including briefing, location scouting, scheduling, and coordination with photographers, talent, and other external vendors.
• Responding to briefs for magazine photography, social campaigns, content partnerships campaigns and digital editorial assets.
• Manage any photography subscriptions and partnerships
• Take charge of our visual asset libraries, including asset organisation and audits, tagging, captioning, copyright management and licensing documentation.
• Manage copyright, image rights, and licensing agreements for commissioned and sourced visual content (photo and video), ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
• Development and implementation of the content team’s visual identity, ensuring consistent quality and best practice image asset usage across all content channels.
• Oversee production quality and ensure all creative outputs are delivered on time and meet editorial and brand standards.
• Support Domain’s broader Production and Creative teams on tech and tool enablement, by being the lead on platform solutions for creative producers across the business.

About You

• Strong photography background experience in the real estate, home lifestyle, or related industries.
• Experience in managing image rights, licensing and copyright compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead production workflows and coordinate multiple stakeholders on editorial shoots.
• Experience in both print and digital production, understanding the nuances of adapting imagery for different platforms.
• A keen eye for detail, design, visual standards and audience engagement.
• A creative mindset and ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A degree in Journalism, Photography, Design or Media Production.
• At least 8 years’ experience working in media, publishing, production or marketing.
• Prior experience as a photographer or editor is favourable.
• Proficiency in content and digital asset management systems such as  Wordpress, Adobe Suite and Cloudinary.
