We are looking for a Phlebotomy Operations Specialist to manage and grow BillionToOne’s national phlebotomy network in support of our Unity prenatal (NIPT) testing. This role sits at the intersection of operations, scheduling, and vendor support — you’ll be the connective tissue between our Sales Operations (SOPS) team, our phlebotomy network, and the patients we serve.

The Phlebotomy Operations Specialist holds a pivotal role in the organization, managing and growing our network of In-Office Phlebotomists (IOP) and Patient Service Center (PSC) phlebotomists across the country. The ideal candidate for this role is an ambitious and highly organized individual who is comfortable owning logistics at a national scale and who works well cross-functionally with sales, contracts, and operations teams.

The Phlebotomy Operations Specialist is a full-time remote position and reports to the Phlebotomy and Vendor Operations Manager.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time, based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, place, and manage In-Office Phlebotomists (IOP) on a national scale.
• Recruit, place, and manage PSC-based phlebotomists across our growing site network.
• Support the setup of new Patient Service Centers (PSC), including site identification, staffing, and readiness for launch.
• Build and maintain relationships with phlebotomy vendors and site partners nationwide.
• Own the scheduling process for both IOP and PSC phlebotomists, ensuring consistent coverage and minimal service gaps.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding for new phlebotomists, including credentialing, training coordination, and compliance documentation.
• Manage phlebotomy supply inventory across sites (draw kits, PPE, shipping supplies, etc.).
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent disruptions to draw operations.
• Serve as the operational point of contact for the Sales team on all phlebotomy-related needs for the NIPT product line.
• Ensure timely, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding phlebotomy coverage and site status.
• Deliver best-in-class support that reflects BillionToOne's patient-first mission.

Qualifications:

• Experience in phlebotomy operations, healthcare staffing, or vendor management (healthcare/diagnostics industry preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across a distributed, national network.
• Strong organizational skills with comfort owning scheduling and logistics at scale.
• Clear, proactive communicator who works well cross-functionally with sales, contracts, and operations teams.
• Comfortable working with data and operational metrics to track network performance.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to help set up and launch new PSCs.

Nice-To-Haves:

• Experience with scheduling, staffing, or vendor-management software (e.g., Salesforce or similar CRM/logistics tools).
• Background specifically in prenatal (NIPT) or oncology diagnostics.
• Experience opening or launching new Patient Service Center sites.
• Project management experience across distributed, multi-site teams.

For this position, we offer a total compensation package up to $126,113 per year, including a base pay range of $85,748 - $96,466 per year.
