Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Pharmacy Operations Analyst at Nebraska Medicine. This office position works from the Pharmacy HUB location for Nebraska Medicine, located near 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE as well as can work remotely.

An ideal candidate for this position would be a focused and detail-oriented individual, able to work independently once trained, who possesses a background in Pharmacy/Healthcare experience and requires Pharmacy Operations knowledge and experience.

Pharmacy Operations Analyst Description:

Accurately facilitate and coordinate external desktop and on-site payer audits. Provide support and work collaboratively across the organization on pharmacy billing processes. Review, maintain and support pharmacy AR systems. Coordinate third party credentialing, contract and license maintenance for the department. Facilitate analyses and process reviews for pharmacy inventory. Problem solve and expedite communication to pharmacy leadership to ensure optimal outcome.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years applicable experience required. 

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.

  • Ability to interpret financial/statistical data and make sound recommendations based on that information required. Ability to anticipate customer requirements and meet those needs in an appropriate and timely manner is required.

  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision is required.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal required.

  • Ability to prioritize organization requirements and track progress of multiple initiatives required. 

  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in specific departments may be required.

  • If registered as a Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician Certification within twelve months of registration date required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in Home Infusion Pharmacy department preferred.

  • Proven experience in healthcare environment preferred.

  • Experience in negotiation or a computerized inventory control environment depending on position preferred. 

  • Knowledge of hospital financial systems is preferred.

  • Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., fax, phone, copier) preferred. Knowledge of manufacturer/vendor product catalogs is preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
