Eighteen are FOX Network affiliates, and together the stations produce approximately 1,300 hours of local news every week. FOX LOCAL, the company's free ad-supported digital and streaming product, extends that news, weather and local content across connected TV & mobile devices. JOB DESCRIPTION

Come join Southern California’s news leader, KTTV FOX 11 Los Angeles and FOX Local! We are seeking dynamic, adaptable individuals who have a passion for journalism and thrive in front of the camera and behind the scenes on broadcast, live hosting, and streaming platforms. We are currently searching for a per diem Reporter with strong editorial, live interview, and storytelling capabilities. Experience in weather presentation is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful candidates are versatile newsroom professionals who are curious about the Los Angeles community; creative in sourcing and producing engaging content; and skilled at seamlessly transitioning between field reporting, anchoring/hosting, and ideally, weather forecasting.

 

• Stay at the frontline of breaking news situations, delivering real-time reporting from the field and studio.
• Independently pitch, research, write, and produce compelling video and text content tailored for live TV, Connected TV, social media, and streaming apps.
• Fill-in as an on-air presenter, live streamer, and host for news stories, field interviews, and studio segments across all broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
• Fill-in delivering accurate, accessible weather presentations and forecasts during live broadcasts and digital streams, translating complex weather data into clear information for viewers.
• Lead engaging live interviews and host long-form streaming segments with confidence, conversational flair, and strong audience connection.
• Maintain an active, professional social media presence that aligns with the FOX 11 brand and drives audience engagement.
• Collaborate with newsroom producers, photographers, and digital teams to adapt content for diverse dayparts and platforms.

 

• Travel across the greater Los Angeles area for field reporting, hosting, and weather hits as assigned.
• Perform other newsroom duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Deep familiarity with Southern California, its diverse neighborhoods, traffic patterns, and microclimates is highly favorable.
• High school diploma required; 4-year college degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in fast-paced television or digital news, including live reporting, hosting, interviewing, and weather presentation.
• Strong on-air presence with dynamic live interviewing and hosting skills.
• Proven ability to interpret and present weather graphics and forecasts clearly on air.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills under deadline pressure.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $52.67 per hour.
