⚡️ Your mission

As our People & Talent Operations Partner, your mission is to own the day to day execution of hiring and people processes at Birdie, giving every candidate and every Birdie a fast, well run, high quality experience. For many candidates you’ll be the first person they meet at Birdie and the friendly face of the company throughout their time with us.

🦸‍♀️ How you will contribute

• Own end to end sourcing and screening across all open roles, building strong pipelines and keeping candidates engaged throughout

• Run candidate scheduling, communications and offer admin, making sure every candidate has a smooth, well informed experience

• Keep our ATS and HRIS clean and accurate, so People data is always trustworthy

• Manage onboarding and offboarding, people ops letters and contracts, setting new joiners and leavers up for a smooth transition

• Help with the logistics of running our London office, acting as the main point of contact for the building

• Plan and deliver socials and whole company events, in collaboration with your team

• Be a first point of contact for day to day people queries and preboarding, helping Birdies get quick, accurate answers

• Work cross-functionally with the Finance team on operations for our payroll and benefits

• Spot and act on opportunities to improve our hiring and people processes, documentation and self-serve tools, so things get easier over time.

🤩 You'll thrive here if...

• You've run full-cycle hiring processes independently, whether in a small team, a small company, or for high volume junior roles. Or you may have owned hiring operations in a larger team, taking ownership for candidate experience and seamless processes

• You have experience sourcing for hard-to-find candidates, and know your way around LinkedIn recruiter

• You've managed candidate communications and a good volume of scheduling, and know what a smooth candidate journey looks like

• You’ve used HR and hiring software (we use Ashby and HiBob, but experience with any similar tools will be useful!)

• You've worked directly with hiring managers and stakeholders to keep a process aligned and moving

• You're highly organised and comfortable running multiple things at once without dropping the ball

• You take ownership of your work and take the initiative to run with a project: you don't need close oversight to get things done

• You look for ways to make processes better, including having some curiosity for how AI can help

• You're adaptable, and excited by the chance to build skills beyond your core background. Throughout the year, the balance of talent and people work will vary and you’re comfortable with that variability.
