About this People Partner role at Legora AB
About Us
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.
Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
2,100+ customers across 80+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $200M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, Graceview, Cadastral, and Wexler.
We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things.
We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
We grow together: as a team and with our customers.
Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.
If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.
The role
Legora is growing fast: new markets, new teams, new complexity, and leaders scaling alongside the business, often for the first time at this pace. At this stage, the people side is both the highest risk and the highest leverage point. The hiring bar, the performance culture, and how people hold each other accountable compound when they are strong and quietly erode everything else when they slip.
The People Partner exists to make sure that does not happen at Legora. You will be the trusted people partner for our Customer Engagement, Global Services, and Legal Engineering teams in EMEA, a genuine partner to leaders and managers: close enough to see around corners, experienced enough to act before problems form, and commercially grounded enough to know that great people decisions are great business decisions.
You will work as part of the EMEA People team and alongside our global People specialists, making sure that what we build globally lands with real impact locally. In a hyper-growth environment, you will anticipate what the teams need before they ask, move fast without losing rigour, and hold the line on standards when pace creates pressure to cut corners.
What you will do
People strategy: Turn business priorities into a forward-looking people agenda for your client group, and keep a clear read on its health, capability and culture
Org design & workforce planning: Advise on team structure, role design and scaling, working closely with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs
Onboarding: Make sure new hires land with clarity, clear expectations and a fast path to contribution
Manager capability: Coach managers on setting expectations, giving feedback and leading through change, and spot capability gaps early
Performance: Apply our performance framework consistently, drive calibration, address underperformance early and lead formal processes where needed
Compensation & levelling: Apply compensation and levelling frameworks fairly and consistently, and flag anomalies as we enter new markets
Culture & engagement: Notice when culture shifts and act before small issues become systemic ones
Employee relations: Manage ER matters, including investigations and organisational changes, and advise on employment law across EMEA
Global collaboration: Translate business needs into clear input for our global People team, and make sure what gets built creates impact rather than process for its own sake
Who you are
Solid HRBP experience: Several years as an HR Business Partner, ideally in a fast-growing or international environment, supporting leaders and managers across the full employee lifecycle.
A European perspective: Experience supporting teams across several European countries, with a good sense of when to apply a standard approach and when to adapt locally.
A trusted partner to leaders: You build credibility quickly and challenge constructively when it matters.
A coach to managers: You enjoy helping managers set expectations, give feedback and lead through change.
Fast and rigorous: You move quickly while keeping documentation and process standards high.
Commercially minded: You make people decisions that serve the business and care about outcomes, not just activity.
A good team player: You collaborate across the People function, escalate complex cases when needed and share the patterns you see.
