We’re looking for a People Operations Partner to help build a great employee experience and support our next phase of growth at Slip Robotics.

As a key member of our growing People team, you’ll be the first point of contact for employees and a trusted resource for managers, owning a broad range of HR responsibilities spanning the employee lifecycle. From onboarding and benefits to employee relations, payroll, and compliance, you’ll help ensure our people operations run smoothly while continuously identifying opportunities to make them better.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the operational and human sides of HR. You’ll need to be comfortable navigating sensitive situations, coaching managers, solving problems, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

You’ll work directly with the VP of People, with opportunities to grow as the company scales.

Responsibilities:

• Support employees and managers: Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions and coach managers on performance, feedback, employee relations, and people practices.
• Own the employee lifecycle: Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, HR documentation, and systems to ensure a seamless employee experience.
• Run core HR operations: Manage payroll administration, benefits, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and related processes.
• Support compliance: Maintain accurate employee records, administer HR policies, and help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Build culture and engagement: Support employee initiatives, team events, and the day-to-day in-office experience to foster a positive, connected workplace.
• Make things better: Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen manager support, and build scalable people programs as we grow.
• Pitch in where needed: Collaborate across teams and support additional activities and projects as needed, bringing a flexible, team-first approach to getting things done.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a Senior HR Generalist, People Operations, or HR Business Partner role.
• Broad, hands-on experience across employee relations, payroll, benefits, leave administration, and HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience coaching managers and navigating sensitive employee matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, resourceful mindset with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where processes are still being built and priorities may shift.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a high-growth startup or scaling organization.
• Experience supporting salaried and hourly employees across multiple states.
• Experience with contingent workforces, including contractors, staffing agencies, or EOR arrangements.
• Experience supporting employment-based immigration processes.
• Experience supporting international employees or HR operations.
• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
