The People Operations Lead is the subject matter expert and technical lead for core HR Operations, responsible for ensuring effective delivery, governance and continuous improvement of core processes including payroll, benefits administration, leave administration, HRIS administration, onboarding and offboarding.
The role leads key annual people programs for the Ops team including performance management, STIP & Merit, salary adjustment cycles as well as oversight of all audit and governance requirements.
This role will also have responsibilities to support Total Rewards Partner including Job Description Questionnaire evaluations, compensation survey analysis and assistance with annual processes.
Other responsibilities include;
- Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to regular presentations and stepping into certain forums when Director is not available
- Building strong relationships with PXPs, leaders, and employees to have a positive impact on work relationships, building morale and increasing productivity
- Through formal needs analysis and/or consultations, identifies gaps and/or opportunities for new and/or improved services and programs
Accountabilities:
Leads HR Operations Process & Program Execution
- Technical Lead on all HR Operations processes including payroll, benefits administration, leave management, HRIS management and onboarding & offboarding
- Lead in administering HR Operations processes such as STIP/ Merit, Performance Management, and compensation adjustment cycles
- Improving efficiency or effectiveness of HR Operations processes
Total Rewards Support
- Perform JDQ evaluations as required
- Support in comp survey data review and file preparation
- Compensation cycle support
- Additional support for regular TR processes as required
Governance
- Responsible for oversight of all PX Operations audits and action item implementation
- Lead PX Ops policy review process
Supports People Inbox & Payroll process
- Provides oversight and audits payroll process
- Responds to queries in People Inbox and supports People Operations Analyst with questions
Continuous improvement and training
- Coach/ mentor new PX Ops employees
- Constantly looking for ways and means to optimize processes
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including payroll administration, employee services, HR systems management, and handling confidential employee information
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment-related processes
- Experience managing and maintaining HRIS platforms; experience with ADP is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, identify efficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
LI-Hybrid
The expected base salary range for this position is $81,000 - $131,000. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
