About the Role

As a Peer Mentor with Aquarius – One Recovery Bucks, you will use your lived experience to encourage, guide and support people accessing our services. You will have a good level of self-awareness and be willing to act as a positive role model to people accessing our services.

You should be comfortable working as part of a team, using your own initiative where appropriate, and asking for help or guidance whenever you are unsure about a situation.

Lived experience of substance misuse, gambling-related challenges or supporting a family member affected by these issues is desirable, as this role offers an opportunity to use your experiences in a positive and supportive environment.

We ask for a minimum commitment of four hours, with consistency being important to help build positive relationships and provide ongoing support to people accessing our services.
