This is a replacement vacancy.

In this nursing role, as a Pediatric Nurse you will have scheduled shifts to care for patients in a school setting. You will work with patients within pediatric ages with differing complexity of care needs and play a key role in helping patients remain comfortable.

This is a Full-Time position, requires travel anywhere within the Waterloo Region.

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• One evening on-call shift per week: 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
• Regular weekend on-call rotation: Friday at 4:30 p.m. – Monday at 8:00 a.m.
• Care for pediatric patients with varying levels of medical complexity, including palliative care
• HPC training courses required

What you’ll do: 

• Using appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individualized needs 

• Executing and continuously monitor care plans  
• Engaging patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust 
• Maintaining and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans 

What you bring: 

• Registration with the CNO as a Nurse in good standing 
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required 
• Experience in Pediatric care is mandatory
• Experience in delivering community care is an asset 
• Clinical skills in gastric feed, tracheostomy, and ventilation care strongly preferred
• Reliability and flexibility  
• Willingness to travel to and from patient residences within a designated area 
• Passion for making a difference in your community 
• Required on-call coverage, including after hours to ensure patient safety and to meet patient care needs
