Payroll Specialist EMEA (f/m/d) - Dublin

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and accurate payroll for multiple European countries and entities
  • Work closely with internal and external partners, including our outsourced payroll vendor, HR, the Benefits and Stock teams, authorities, and auditors
  • Review internal processes and service delivery, recommend improvements, and help implement them
  • Partner with teams across the business to streamline and simplify ways of working
  • Contribute to payroll-related projects
  • Communicate clearly with the business and our employees, taking ownership of ad hoc queries through to resolution
  • Uphold eBay's DNA

What you bring

  • 3+ years' experience in complex payroll delivery, ideally within a shared service team
  • Experience in a large organisation, handling high volumes in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory payroll requirements across several EMEA countries
  • Good understanding of payroll topics such as benefits, equity, and shadow/hypo tax
  • Comfortable working with AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up analysis, documentation, and recurring tasks — and open to learning new ones as they emerge
  • A detail -, and goal-oriented approach
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities accurately and efficiently
  • Reliability, commitment, flexibility, and a talent for working in virtual teams
  • Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus
