Job Description Summary
As a Payroll Analyst at Taylor Morrison Home Funding Inc., you will own payroll end to end for multiple companies under Financial Services, spanning multiple states and entities. Every pay cycle, you make sure each team member is paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance. Between cycles, you shift into analyst mode: calculating commissions and monthly production bonuses across our mortgage and title operations, building proformas, and helping shape how our sales teams are paid.This role comes with a seat at the table. People, Finance, and operational leaders will look to your numbers before they make decisions. What You’ll Do
Payroll Operations
Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple companies and states, including new hires, status changes, terminations, and payroll adjustments
Audit payroll transactions and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to each pay run
Manage and maintain employee payroll records within ADP Workforce Now and related HRIS platforms
Maintain accurate records for garnishments, PTO accruals, and off-cycle or manual check requests
Research and resolve payroll inquiries from team members and leaders while delivering on the "Love the Customer" commitment by building trusted relationships and ensuring an exceptional customer experience
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the team member experience
Commissions & Incentive Compensation
Manage the calculation and distribution of monthly commissions and bonus programs for multiple companies, ensuring accuracy and timely payouts, while working closely with accounting for payroll accrual entries
Process monthly production bonuses for departments across mortgage operations and title operations, partnering with department leaders to confirm eligibility, metrics, and payout accuracy
Administer executive sales commission agreements, ensuring payments are calculated, documented, and paid in accordance with the terms of each agreement
Develop and maintain annual financial proformas supporting sales contract pricing, aligning projected company growth and business needs with commission and incentive compensation plans
Partner with department heads and Finance leadership to model the impact of proposed plan changes before they are implemented
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations across all operating jurisdictions
Support internal and external audits, including 401(k), workers’ compensation, and year-end payroll audits
Prepare ad hoc payroll reports and business insights for stakeholders
Business Partnership
Partner with People, Finance, and operational leaders to support payroll excellence across the Financial Services companies
Translate payroll and compensation data into insights that inform leadership decisions
Maintain data integrity across payroll and HRIS systems, serving as a subject matter resource for the business
Review and lead staffing and payroll calls with senior leadership to discuss payroll variance and trends
