Job Description:

The Patient Coordinator works alongside the medical assistants and providers. This position is responsible for supporting the adminsitrative needs of the practice, patients and schedules.

  • Maintain an organized workflow of providers' clinics.
  • Schedule radiology as requested by providers within the correct time frame when urgent and forward to the radiology scheduler when routine.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and assist the caller or direct them to the correct contact/department.
  • Document all work within patient charts.
  • Contact patients with appointment dates and time.
  • Answer patient questions and/or return patient calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and monitor EMR inbox, Email, and Teams, responding to all appropriately and accordingly.
  • Notify Director of Practice Operations of any schedule changes/requests from the providers.
  • Attend department meetings and in-service training as required.
  • Cover other providers as needed.
  • Maintain HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Holds:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting. Applicable experience can be substituted for a formal degree.
  • At least two years of experience in a customer service role, healthcare preferred.
  • Experience booking radiology scans.
  • EHR experience required.

This is a hybrid role with partial remote work available.
