Parts Manager / Parts Coordinator Summary

Plan B Autobody is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and organized Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of parts procurement, inventory management, and parts flow within a fast-paced collision repair environment. This role plays a critical part in supporting production by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, managing vendor relationships, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating closely with estimators and technicians. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and knowledgeable in automotive collision repair parts, with a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage daily parts operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing parts to technicians.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock audits to support CSN production flow.
  • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and reliable availability.
  • Review estimates to confirm correct parts, pricing, model/trim accuracy, and OEM requirements.
  • Coordinate returns, credits, warranty parts, and core charges according to insurer and shop guidelines.
  • Stage and label parts for repairs to support efficient workflow and reduce production delays.
  • Track back‑ordered parts and communicate updates to estimators and production managers.
  • Maintain organized parts storage areas and ensure compliance with CSN policies and safety standards.
  • Assist estimators with parts verification, supplements, and repair planning.
  • Update management systems with parts status, invoices, and documentation for accurate file closure.
  • Support quality control by ensuring correct parts are installed and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
