Job Description:
Note: These are vacancies for 5 Casual Part-time Support positions (up to 24 hours per week) starting October 1, 2026 and ending December 18, 2026. Expected working days hours can occur any day(s) between Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Hours will vary based on examination schedules and may include occasional weekend shifts.
Note: These in-person positions are located at 1001 Fanshawe College Boulevard, London, ON N5Y 5R6.
The School of Nursing is seeking Casual Part-time Support individuals to assist with the administration of mid-term and final examinations during the Fall 2026 term.
Why This Role Is Important
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Exam Invigilators support the secure and orderly administration of examinations and help ensure that established examination procedures and protocols are followed.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Under the direction of the designated faculty or staff member, the Exam Invigilators will support the administration of examinations by:
Preparing examination rooms in accordance with established procedures
Registering students and verifying identification and eligibility to write examinations
Providing students with instructions and information related to examination procedures
Distributing and collecting examination materials
Monitoring examination rooms to ensure compliance with examination rules and procedures
Maintaining the security and confidentiality of examination materials and student information
Identifying and reporting suspected academic misconduct, unauthorized materials, or other examination irregularities to the appropriate faculty or staff member
Responding to student questions and concerns within established examination procedures
Maintaining an orderly and appropriate examination environment
Completing other related examination administration duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year of recent experience in a customer service or student-facing environment
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures, protocols and instructions
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of confidentiality and security when handling examination materials and student information
Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in an examination environment
Ability to exercise sound judgment when responding to questions, concerns or examination irregularities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
